We are looking for a Family Solicitor to join our growing Family team in Cardiff or Swansea. This role offers a varied caseload across private family law matters with the opportunity to develop experience in public law work for candidates who have an interest in this area.

You will be supported by an experienced and collaborative team committed to helping you grow your career.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor who enjoys building client relationships delivering high-quality legal advice and contributing to the continued growth of a successful Family department.

What you will be doing

• Managing your own caseload of family law matters delivering high-quality legal advice and excellent client care.
  
• Advising clients on a range of private family law matters including divorce finances cohabitation disputes and private children proceedings.
  
• Supporting and where appropriate developing experience in public law children matters and care proceedings.
  
• Building strong relationships with clients and guiding them through sensitive and often challenging circumstances.
  
• Preparing and drafting legal documents applications statements and correspondence.
  
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Family team to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
  
• Developing professional networks and supporting business development initiatives to raise the profile of the team.
  
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements firm procedures and best practice standards.
  
  

Who we are looking for

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in Family Law.
  
• Strong private family law experience.
  
• Public law children experience or knowledge is desirable but not essential for candidates willing to learn and develop in this area.
  
• Excellent client care and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
  
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
  
• Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
  
• Experience of using case management systems and the full Microsoft Office suite.
