Job Title: Junior Software Engineer (UX team internship)

Reporting line: Software Engineer

Primary Work Location: Waterloo London (hybrid 2 days a week- in -office)

Overview of the role

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to work within Everfoxs UX software team specifically we are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual looking for hands-on experience within a unique and highly innovative company and the opportunity to develop within the organization.

You will help support the continuous improvement of workflows practices and processes employed by the UX engineering team as well as contributing to continuous integration deployment testing/automation and product engineering.

Everfox has a challenging supportive and fast-moving working and as a steadily growing and agile company there is plenty of room for personal development. Our technology stack ranges from bespoke hardware FPGAs and embedded software to mobile and desktop applications web services and AWS. Youll receive ample guidance for new tasks but day-to-day were autonomous organized and proactive.

Key Responsibilities

• Contributing to developing tools and enhancing infrastructure that automate the process of building integrating and testing our products.
• Supporting the engineering team in developing integrating and automating tests
• Assisting in developing new pipelines for software build and integration.
• Leveraging AI tooling to accelerate productivity across engineering workflows from code generation and review to test automation and documentation.
• Improving code maintainability and supportability.
• Supporting the maintenance of scripts to automate routine development activity.
• Investigating new technologies and performing rapid prototyping to support. technical de-risking and discover new opportunities for design improvements.
• Recognising the industry that Everfox operates in and appreciating the importance of following our information security policies.

Skills & Experience

• Keen interest in tech and/or cybersecurity industry.
• Some skills in scripting with Python or Bash and ideally a basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with build systems would be desirable.
• Some minimal exposure to testing would be preferred.
• Able to multi-task and collaborate with multiple teams effectively.
• Pro-active and able to work well independently as well as part of a wider team.
• An interest in AI and emerging development tools with a curiosity for how they can be applied to real-world engineering challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented highly organised proactive pragmatic good time management skills.
