About the Role
As a Skilled CNC Machinist at NOV Greengate you will be responsible for operating and controlling numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components with precision and accuracy. This role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a high-performance machine shop environment.


You will be involved in the full machining processfrom setup and programming adjustments to inspection and troubleshootingwhile ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality parts on CNC machines in a safe timely and efficient manner
Perform machine set-ups adjustments and first article inspections on production runs
Load parts using overhead lifting equipment and operate CNC controls
Set offsets perform simple program edits de-burr and inspect components to ensure conformance to specifications
Monitor machine operations and identify malfunctions or deviations adjusting controls as required
Interpret engineering drawings job orders and measurement data to determine tooling and machining requirements
Apply knowledge of cutting parameters including feed rates speeds and tooling selection
Maintain a clean organised work area and perform basic preventative maintenance
Support continuous improvement and general departmental activities
Ensure full compliance with NOV Quality and HSE policies and procedures
Perform additional duties in line with business needs



Qualifications

Essential Qualifications
Time-served apprenticeship in CNC machining (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Experience operating a variety of CNC machines
Experience working in a high-productivity machine shop environment
Computer literacy
Understanding of manual handling slinging and lifting practices
Awareness of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards

Desirable Qualifications
Proven CNC machining experience
Manual machining experience
Multi-axis CNC machining experience
CNC programming knowledge (e.g. Mazatrol Fanuc controls)

Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively
