Signalling Project Engineer

We are searching for a experienced Rail Signalling Project Engineer to join us here at AECOM in delivering safe reliable and compliant signalling solutions across the full project lifecycle from feasibility and requirements definition through design integration testing commissioning and handover of Rail Projects. 

As the Signalling Project Engineer you will be responsible for the  multi-disciplinary delivery manage technical scope assure quality and support cost schedule and risk performance on complex rail and metro projects.

Heres what youll do:

• Lead day-to-day engineering delivery for signalling work packages ensuring safety quality cost and schedule performance.
• Develop and manage technical scope requirements assumptions and interfaces; maintain the design basis and configuration control.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs (signalling telecoms traction power rolling stock civils E&P) and manage external interfaces (client operator maintainers OEMs).
• Produce review or assure signalling deliverables: scheme plans control tables interlocking data inputs location area plans bonding/earthing cable plans BOQs design reports and test/commissioning documentation.
• Support hazard identification safety assurance RAMS and SIL compliance; maintain hazard logs and contribute to safety cases.
• Plan and support testing and commissioning (factory/site) defect resolution readiness reviews and entry-into-service.
• Manage design reviews constructability input value engineering and change control.
• Contribute to programme logic estimates risks opportunities and progress reporting; support earned value and forecasting.
• Ensure adherence to applicable standards governance and assurance processes
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement digital delivery and lessons learned.

Qualifications :

We are searching for someone with proven experience delivering rail signalling engineering on live projects across design integration testing and/or commissioning stages.

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Systems Control or Railway Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Professional registration (e.g. CEng/PEng/PE) or working toward it.
IRSE membership and relevant IRSE licences (e.g. Design Principles Tester Project Engineer) are highly desirable in IRSE jurisdictions.
PTS or equivalent rail safety competence or ability to obtain.
Experience with ETCS/CBTC migrations brownfield cutovers staged commissioning and high-availability systems.
