Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic reliable Supervisor to join our team and work 25-35 hours per week. As a Supervisor at Aldgate Tap you will support the management team in day-to-day pub operations lead shifts on the floor and behind the bar and ensure our high service and cellar standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Leadership: Lead and support bar staff during shifts ensuring high service standards speed and positive team energy.

  • Cellar & Cask Care: Manage draft lines keep the bar stock tidy and utilize basic cask knowledge to handle tap and maintain real ales.

  • Customer Experience: Greet guests handle customer feedback professionally and maintain a warm welcoming pub environment.

  • Operational Duties: Manage opening and closing procedures shift cash handling till reconciliation and daily cleaning checklists.

  • Compliance: Ensure all food hygiene health & safety and licensing regulations (including Challenge 25) are strictly followed.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced pub bar or hospitality supervisory/senior team member role.

  • Cask & Beer Knowledge: Basic understanding of real ale cask management (conditioning tapping line maintenance) and draft beer care.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate a team and stay calm under pressure during busy peak hours.

  • Flexibility: Availability to work evenings weekends and key holiday periods.

  • Licensing: A Personal License holder is a bonus but not essential.
