Service Technician

Our client is looking for a motivated and skilled Service Technician to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an electrical or mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work problem-solving and the chance to travel across the UK and Europe.

As a Service Technician you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing their fleet of power generation equipment helping to ensure reliable performance for customers across a variety of industries.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Servicing maintaining and inspecting diesel generators ranging from 30kVa to 220kVa
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
• Supporting installations commissioning and operational activities at customer sites
• Working from Colchester as your primary base
• Travelling to sites throughout the UK and Europe often at short notice
• Participating in offshore projects when required
• Maintaining high standards of safety quality and customer service

What Were Looking For:

• A strong electrical or mechanical background (essential)
• Experience fault-finding and repairing diesel generators (highly desirable)
• A full clean UK driving licence
• Based in Colchester or the surrounding area
• Flexibility to travel and work away from home across the UK and overseas when required
• A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
