Key job responsibilities
* Engage technically with startup customers from CXO/VP to drive adoption of inference on AWS Bedrock securing lighthouse customers and growing top-line revenue
* Be the expert on the latest foundation models and model evaluation techniques to best guide startups to their inference usage
* Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through technical thought leadership in AI-powered applications and architecture
* Design and execute technical scalable assets and architectures on Bedrock for multiple use-cases and company verticals
* Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field Solution Architect teams Inference subject-matter experts model providers and other partner channels to scale Bedrock adoption
* Collaborate with the AWS service and engineering teams to surface customer feedback influence roadmap priorities and co-create solutions that solve real startup problems
* Guide and support the AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to Bedrock and Managed Inference. Create field enablement materials demo assets open-source samples and workshop content for the broader SA population.

The WWSO Startup team is a team dedicated to helping Startups scale quickly and cost-effectively on AWS. We want Startups to grow better when they choose AWS and we make it easier by recommending the right technologies and then by helping Startups get up and running quickly.

This position specifically is part of the WWSO Startup team where you will be a Specialist Solution Architect that helps Startups adopt AWS technologies with a focus on AWS Bedrock and Managed Inference. You will:
1/ Be the best storyteller and technologist articulating the value of AI-powered development through demos reference architectures and real customer outcomes.
2/ Work with the most promising Startups engaging lighthouse customers building with inference at scale.
3/ Scale tech knowledge via products programs and the AWS Field creating enablement content running workshops and growing our community of subject matter experts
4/ Gather critical Startup feedback to inform product roadmaps operating as the voice of startups to service teams building with AWS Bedrock

About the team
The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) which is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customers most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO youll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. We pride ourselves on thinking big delivering exceptional results for our customers and working across AWS as #OneTeam.

- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering mathematics or equivalent or experience in a professional field or military
- Experience in a customer-facing role engaging with customer executives technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals including architecture training/inference lifecycles and optimization of model execution or experience leading and influencing your team or organization
- Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity.

- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
- Masters degree or above in engineering management or technology or Masters degree or above in computer science engineering mathematics or equivalent
- Familiarity with foundation models open-weight and frontier models world models and agentic frameworks used by Startups
- Familiarity with Agentic AI architectures multi-agent orchestration tool-use patterns MCP (Model Context Protocol) and autonomous agent frameworks
- Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developer communities and at industry events
- Proficiency with design deployment and evaluation of LLM-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches (e.g. Strands Agents SDK LangGraph CrewAI)
