Rate: 160170 per day
A well-established secondary school in Camden is looking for a Senior Science Technician who can provide reliable technical support across a busy Science Department.
Youll be working closely with teaching staff to prepare practical lessons manage resources and maintain high standards across the laboratories and preparation areas.
The role starts on a temporary basis with the intention of moving to a permanent position once both the school and candidate are happy that it is the right fit.
Prepare equipment and materials for practical lessons
Support teachers with demonstrations and experiments
Maintain laboratories and preparation rooms
Monitor and manage department stock
Order scientific equipment and consumables
Maintain equipment and arrange repairs where necessary
Ensure chemicals are stored and handled correctly
Maintain safety and technical records
Assist with coordinating the wider technician team
Previous secondary school Science Technician experience is essential ideally with experience working at Senior Technician level.
Youll need strong organisational skills good practical knowledge and an excellent understanding of laboratory safety.
This would suit someone who enjoys being an important part of a Science Department and takes pride in keeping everything organised behind the scenes.
