TheProduct Engineeris responsibleforexecution of product lifecycle engineering projects for Pall Medical including product changes VAVE and sustainabilityactivitiesand the manufacturing transfer and validation of new products.
This position reports to theSeniorManagerProduct Engineeringand is part of theMedical Product EngineeringteamlocatedinCardiffand willbe an on-site role.
What you will do:
Complete engineering activitiesto supporttheProduct LifecycleofPall Medical products globally
Support Pall Medical product and process upgrades through VAVE
Activelyparticipatein Continuous Improvement projectsandKaizen events
Work closely with R&Dandthe cross functionalMedicalteamtoverifyandvalidatenew productshigh volume manufacturingproductionlinesand injection mold toolsfrom development throughmanufacturing transferand product launch
Contribute toreliability improvement programs including best CAPA practices
Who you are:
Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Experience in a Life Science orientedmanufacturingcompany or similarly regulated industry
Understanding and experience ofrisk assessment andtechnical change control validation techniques within a regulated industry
Ability to use structured problem-solving techniques to drive to root cause and sustain improvements
Ability to prioritize manage and complete projects with limited direction on timeandin full
Travel Motor Vehicle Record:
Limitedovernighttravel to manufacturingsupplierandcustomer sites typically withinUK
Must have a valid drivers licensewith an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:
Ability to communicate effectively acrossmultipledepartments and functions
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
Knowledge of six sigma and the use of statistical tools
