TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well established and highly regarded independent Chartered Accountancy practice in Northfleet with the recruitment of a Senior Practice Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and professional firm where youll work closely with the Partner taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses and becoming a key member of the team.
As a Senior Practice Accountant you will be responsible for managing a broad range of general practice work including:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Corporation tax and self assessment tax returns
- Bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Liaising directly with clients and providing day to day advice
- Supporting the Partner with client relationships and ad hoc projects
- Reviewing work where appropriate and assisting with workflow management
- This is a varied hands on role offering plenty of client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with the firms leadership.
- Meeting with clients on a regular basis
- ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation tax bookkeeping and VAT
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a close knit team
- Salary of 40000 to 50000 depending on experience

Required Skills:
Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10 years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of QuickBooks Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
