What are we hiring for
The Senior HR Advisor is responsible for delivering professional HR support for our Framatome Ltd employees and management based at Hinkley Point C. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment legislation company policies and industry best practices.
Job description
The role partners with site management to support workforce planning employee relations recruitment performance management and wellbeing initiatives while fostering a safe positive and productive working environment.
What you will be doing
Employee Relations
- Provide expert HR advice to managers on employee relations matters including complex cases.
- Manage disciplinary grievance absence capability and performance issues.
- Conduct investigations and support formal hearings in line with company policies.
- Promote fair consistent and legally compliant people management.
- Maintain positive relationships with employee representatives trade unions and the industrial relations team.
- Resolve workplace disputes and ensure employee relations policies remain compliant and up to date.
Resourcing & Onboarding
- Support recruitment for site employees apprentices and temporary workers.
- Manage onboarding and induction to ensure compliance before employment starts.
- Monitor workforce requirements and liaise with recruitment agencies and employment partners.
- Support visa processes where required.
HR Compliance
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation company policies and contracts.
- Maintain accurate HR records Right to Work documentation training records and contracts.
- Support internal and external HR audits.
Talent & Performance
- Support performance reviews probation development planning and succession planning.
- Coach managers on effective people management.
- Assist with learning development and skills management.
Employee Engagement & Wellbeing
- Promote wellbeing engagement and diversity equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Act as a trusted HR contact for employee concerns.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee retention initiatives.
Health Safety & Site Compliance
- Promote a strong health and safety culture with site management.
- Ensure HR practices comply with health and safety legislation.
- Participate in site meetings and workforce safety initiatives.
Data Reporting & Management
- Maintain accurate HR systems records and reporting.
- Analyze workforce data and recommend improvements.
- Line manage the onboarding and training team.
Profile
What are we looking for
Training
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience (Level 7 desirable)
Experience
- Significant HR advisory experience within construction engineering infrastructure or a similar operational environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
- Evidence of continued professional development
Person Specification:
Essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience (Level 7 desirable)
- Significant HR advisory experience within construction engineering infrastructure or a similar operational environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
- Full UK driving licence (if travel between sites is required).
