The job

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join the AVEVA Unified Supply Chain R&D team where you will design build andoperatethe services that provide acutting-edgeSaaS scheduling solution for the oil and gas industry. You will work as part of a cross-functional product development team filled with talented engineersto ensure that the solution forming part of the AVEVA CONNECT industrial intelligence platform addresses our end-users needs and delights our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development ofhighlyavailableand scalable SaaS platform services in Azure

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps

• Engage with technical members in enabling teams responsible for theAVEVACONNECT Platform

• Proactivelyidentifyand communicate technical issues risks and opportunities for improvement

Essential requirements

• Experience and strong understanding of core Azure services: compute storage securitymonitoringand diagnostics.

• Skilled inKubernetes container orchestration platforms including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

• Highly proficient in C# with experience developing microservices RESTful APIs etcin a CI/CDenvironment.

• A proactive self-starting approach youdontwait to be told what to do

• Ownership mentality you care about what you build and how it runs in production

Desired skills and competencies

• A collaborative mindset willing to ask questions share knowledge and support your teammates coaching/mentoring less experienced engineers

• Resilience and a positive attitude when faced with challenges or unfamiliar territory

• Frontend web frameworks (preferably Angular)

We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection.
