Night Senior. St Helens Hall Care Home

• Hourly Rate: £16.03 per hour
• Shift: 3-4 nights per week 8pm-8am
• Contracted Hours: 38.5 hours per week

St Helens Hall is a welcoming 94-bed care home for older adults rated 'Good' in all areas by the CQC and recognised with multiple industry awards. Led by our experienced Home Manager Amanda who began her own journey with us as a Care Assistant in 2008 we are proud of our supportive culture and commitment to delivering outstanding care.

As a Night Shift Senior Care Practitioner you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive high-quality care comfort and companionship throughout the night while providing leadership and support to the wider care team.

As a Night Shift Senior Care Practitioner your responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality personal care in line with individual care plans.
• Support residents with their nighttime routines promoting dignity independence and choice.
• Offer reassurance emotional support and companionship throughout the night.
• Ensure residents remain safe comfortable and well cared for at all times.
• Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns appropriately.
• Lead supervise and support the night care team to maintain excellent standards of care.
• Assist with staff supervision appraisals and ongoing development.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals relatives and external agencies where required.
• Support recruitment induction and training activities within the home.
• Complete all mandatory training and participate in ongoing professional development.

What We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience in a Senior Care Assistant Team Leader or supervisory role within a residential dementia or nursing care setting.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Confidence using electronic care systems and maintaining accurate records.
• The ability to remain calm professional and supportive under pressure.
• A flexible and proactive approach to meeting residents' needs.
