Role: Senior Accountant
Location: Leeds
Salary: 45000

A well-established and highly respected independent accountancy practice is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Senior Accountant.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and is looking for a varied role covering accounts tax advisory work and client relationship management.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant job include:

Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
Preparing management accounts
Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
Acting as a key point of contact for clients
Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
Visiting client premises where required
Assisting with tax compliance and advisory work
Reviewing corporation tax returns

Requirements of the Senior Accountant job include:

ACA or ACCA qualified although part qualified individuals will be considered
UK accounting experience is essential
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience with IRIS Xero Sage or similar software would be advantageous
A proactive approach and genuine desire to continue developing within practice
