Job Summary

St. Johns CofE Primary School is part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.

We are a Church of England school that seeks to provide a firm foundation for learning and caring that ensures all children achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a SENDco who:

  • Currently holds the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination or is willing to undertake training to achieve the qualification.
  • Is committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all children
  • Has the ability to lead staff in developing their knowledge and expertise in working with SEND children
  • Manage and develop programmes of work for pupils who require targeted intervention
  • Can implement a range of strategies engaging and extending all pupils who have identified needs
  • Is able to communicate well with colleagues parents and children
  • Is able to coordinate liaisons between school staff parents and outside agencies
  • Has the ability to work under pressure with calmness and a sense of humour.
