Esland Daven School is an established specialist provision supporting children and young people aged 818 with SEND and SEMH needs. We are seeking a committed and skilled SEN Teacher to work primarily with primary level pupils. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience phonics.

You will be supported to:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects tailored to individual needs
- Work with Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to support both academic and personal development
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings with clear leadership guidance
- Create a calm safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants pastoral staff families and external professionals
- Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing with strong systems and senior support in place
- While flexibility and teamwork are central to working in a specialist setting responsibilities will always be appropriate to the role and backed by senior leaders ensuring expectations are realistic and sustainable

Requirements for a SEN Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Experience teaching primary level across a range of subjects
- An understanding of SEND particularly SEMH
- Experience of teaching at primary level
- Experience in phonics
- Strong inclusive teaching and behavioursupport strategies
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
- A calm reflective and relationshipfocused approach
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- A commitment to learning development and good practice
