Salary: Up to 3500

An established accountancy practice in Gainsborough is looking to add an experienced Semi Senior Accountant to its growing team.

This is a varied general practice role offering exposure across accounts tax bookkeeping VAT and management accounts. It would suit an AAT qualified or someone with a few years practice experience who is looking for a role where they can continue developing their technical knowledge client skills and overall accountancy career.

Responsibilities of the Semi Senior Accountant job include:
Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders partnerships and limited companies
Preparing business tax computations and supporting schedules
Completing bookkeeping and VAT returns
Assisting with management accounts
Supporting clients with accounting software and advising on suitable solutions
Assisting with audit assignments where required
Working alongside managers across a varied portfolio of client assignments
Dealing with year-end queries and ad-hoc client requirements

Requirements of the Semi Senior Accountant job include:
At least a few years UK accountancy practice experience
Experience using Sage and/or cloud accounting software such as Xero
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
