We are looking for an experienced Security Supervisor to provide visible leadership and take ownership of the day-to-day security operation. This is more than supervising a shift. You will set standards lead the team manage operational priorities and act as a key interface between GUK and our client. We are looking for someone with presence sound judgement and the confidence to lead from the front anticipating issues maintaining standards and delivering an exceptional service.

• Lead motivate and supervise the security team.

• Set clear standards for performance conduct attendance presentation and customer service.

• Deliver effective shift briefings and allocate resources appropriately.

• Coach and support Officers addressing performance concerns where required.

• Lead by example and consistently demonstrate GUKs PACE values.

• Ensure contractual staffing levels are maintained.

• Proactively review Timegate and identify potential staffing gaps.

• Ensure effective shift handovers and communication.

• Confirm Officers hold the appropriate valid SIA licence.

• Maintain compliance with Assignment Instructions and site procedures.

• Take ownership of operational issues and escalate significant concerns appropriately.

• Lead the response to security incidents emergencies and public safety concerns.

• Make confident proportionate decisions based on risk.

• Investigate incidents thefts and other security matters.

• Act as Incident Control Officer (ICO) when required.

• Ensure accidents and incidents are accurately reported and appropriately escalated.

• Ensure relevant CCTV footage is preserved where required.

• Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements risk assessments and safe systems of work.

• Identify hazards and take appropriate preventative or remedial action.

• Build strong professional relationships with the client and key stakeholders.

• Maintain a visible approachable and professional presence.

• Ensure the team consistently delivers excellent customer service.

• Communicate confidently with clients colleagues contractors and visitors.

• Keep GUK management and the client appropriately informed of significant operational matters.

• Strong security industry experience.

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

• Valid SIA licence appropriate to the role.

• Confident leadership and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong customer and stakeholder focus.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

• Good organisational and IT skills.

• High levels of personal accountability professionalism and integrity.

• Previous Security Supervisor/Team Leader experience in a corporate or high-profile environment.

• Experience using Timegate or a similar workforce-management system.

• First Aid and Fire Marshal qualifications.
