A large secondary academy in Stevenage is looking for an organised Science Technician to join its practical support team. The successful candidate will help prepare laboratories and resources for a busy programme of Biology Chemistry and Physics lessons.
Practical preparation: Prepare apparatus chemicals and other resources ahead of scheduled lessons.
Laboratory setup: Ensure laboratories are safely equipped before practical activities begin.
Equipment management: Check clean and maintain scientific equipment.
Stock control: Monitor consumables and keep science stores organised.
Safety: Follow departmental procedures relating to laboratory safety COSHH and chemical storage.
Practical experience: Previous laboratory or technical experience is desirable.
