A busy secondary school in Watford Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced Science Technician to support its science teaching team.
The successful candidate will help ensure that laboratories equipment and practical resources are ready for lessons and examinations.
You will work closely with teaching staff across the science department and will need to be organised enough to prepare multiple practical activities throughout the school week.
The role includes:
Preparing experiments
Setting up practical lessons
Maintaining scientific equipment
Managing laboratory stock
Monitoring equipment condition
Supporting demonstrations
Maintaining laboratory organisation
Following health and safety procedures
Assisting with practical examinations
Supporting teachers with technical requirements
A science-related qualification or laboratory experience would be beneficial although practical experience in a similar technician position will also be considered.
