A mixed comprehensive school in Gravesend is seeking a Science Technician to provide practical and technical support to its Science Department. This is an immediate opportunity for someone who can quickly become part of an established school team.

• Prepare experiments: Set up practical activities for KS3 and GCSE Science lessons.

• Maintain laboratories: Ensure equipment and workspaces are clean and ready for use.

• Assist teachers: Provide technical support during practical lessons.

• Check equipment: Identify damaged or faulty apparatus and report issues.

• Manage resources: Maintain stock of consumables and general laboratory supplies.

• Support safety: Follow appropriate procedures for chemicals equipment and waste.

• Relevant experience: Previous laboratory or Science Technician experience is preferred.

• Practical mindset: Enjoys preparing and supporting hands-on scientific activities.

• Reliable: Can consistently prepare lessons to agreed deadlines.
