The successful Science Technician will provide practical and technical support across the science department ensuring lessons are properly resourced and laboratories are maintained to a high standard.

The role will involve:

• Preparing equipment materials and practical resources for lessons

• Supporting teachers with experiments demonstrations and practical activities

• Maintaining and organising laboratories and science equipment

• Checking cleaning and safely storing equipment

• Ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed

• Monitoring science stock and ordering resources when required

• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the science department

The school is looking for a dependable and well-organised individual with good practical skills and strong attention to detail. Previous experience as a Science Technician Laboratory Technician or within a scientific environment would be advantageous.

You should have good communication skills be able to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining safe and engaging practical learning environments.
