A grammar school in Sidcup is seeking a capable Science Technician to join its established Science Department ASAP. The successful candidate will support practical teaching and contribute to the efficient running of laboratories and preparation areas.

• Prepare practical activities: Set up equipment and materials for Biology Chemistry and Physics.

• Support teachers: Assist with practical demonstrations and student investigations.

• Maintain laboratories: Ensure teaching spaces and preparation rooms are clean and organised.

• Maintain stock: Monitor consumables and assist with ordering.

• Equipment checks: Carry out routine checks and arrange repairs where necessary.

• Health and safety: Maintain appropriate standards across laboratories and storage areas.

• Technically capable: Understands laboratory equipment and practical procedures.

• Science background: Relevant scientific qualifications or previous technician experience preferred.

• Organised: Can manage preparation for multiple lessons each day.

• Methodical: Works accurately and pays close attention to safety.

• Communicative: Can work effectively with teachers and other technicians.
