An independent school in Bromley is looking for a Science Technician with particular experience or interest in Biology and Chemistry. The successful candidate will support practical teaching and help maintain a safe well-organised laboratory environment.

• Prepare Biology practicals: Set up specimens microscopes slides and relevant equipment.

• Support Chemistry lessons: Prepare appropriate apparatus solutions and materials.

• Assist teachers: Provide technical support during practical sessions.

• Maintain equipment: Clean check and store laboratory apparatus correctly.

• Manage resources: Monitor consumables and maintain accurate stock records.

• Follow safety procedures: Ensure practical preparation complies with school policies and relevant guidance.

• Biology/Chemistry experience: Strong practical understanding of at least one discipline.

• Laboratory capable: Comfortable working with standard school laboratory equipment.

• Methodical: Takes care with preparation and storage.

• Safety aware: Understands appropriate laboratory procedures.

• Well organised: Can prepare several lessons within a busy timetable.
