A secondary school in Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running safety and maintenance of the school site.

This is a practical role suited to someone who is organised reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for a busy school environment. The position will initially be temporary with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school site

• Managing general maintenance and repairs

• Carrying out regular health & safety checks

• Coordinating contractors and external suppliers

• Monitoring security access and site procedures

• Supporting fire safety and emergency procedures

• Managing site-related compliance records

• Supervising caretaking and premises staff where required

• Responding to maintenance issues as they arise

• Helping ensure the school remains clean safe and secure

Previous school site premises or facilities experience is essential ideally within a secondary school or similar busy environment.

Youll need good practical knowledge strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage contractors and deal with unexpected issues. Knowledge of school health & safety safeguarding and compliance requirements would be highly beneficial.
