Job Summary
Are you passionate about creating safer environments influencing strategic decision-making and ensuring risk is understood before it becomes an issue Were looking for an experienced Risk Manager to play a key role in The Army Collective Training System leading the identification assessment and management of risk across a complex and highly regulated training environment. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders youll help shape a proactive risk culture provide expert advice on risk exposure and ensure the right controls are in place to support safe effective and successful delivery.

Permanent role - 37.5 hours a week
Hybrid role with 2 or 3 days a week in Warminster
Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level.
What youll be doing
- Provide risk management for the force preparation risks and training delivery risks identified and captured through the Analysing Designing Delivery of collective training services.
- Conduct Functional Safety Analysis Preliminary Hazard Identification and Analysis (PHI&A) and Organisational Safety Assessments.
- Create and manage the Safety Risk Register in accordance with Joint Service Publication 822 892 and 375.
- Identify and manage safety risks against the safe system of work.
- Provide oversight and line management of the Safety Risk Analyst who is responsible for the risk management of all training safety risks.
- Identify and escalate relevant risks that have exceeded the threshold to wider stakeholders for enhanced mitigation or the cessation of training.
- Act as a champion for the British Armys training safety culture.
- Ensure training risks are tracked managed and communicated in a timely and relevant manner across key stakeholders

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Proven experience within safety risk management governance assurance or compliance role experience within a regulated industry.
- Understanding of internal controls governance structures and assurance processes.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and supporting governance decisionmaking.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of collective training
- Knowledge of the military/Army

The OMNIA Training consortium brings together five leading UK defence training organisations: Capita Raytheon Rheinmetall Cervus and Skyral. As the British Armys Strategic Training Partner (STP) OMNIA has a clear mission: to transform collective training over the next 15 years and deliver world-class training for the British Army.
Working with the Land Warfare Centre (LWC) OMNIA will schedule plan design deliver and assure collective training across the Armys Collective Training System (ACTS) while also delivering the Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP). This generational opportunity will enable more relevant challenging and safe training helping the British Army to fight and win. Central to this mission is the ability to set and measure training performance against requirements assure operational readiness and capture associated training and safety risks.
