Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Safeguarding Officer.
37 hours per week Term Time.
37 hours per week Term Time.
Salary: Range 15-17 of the NJC pay framework for Support Staff 32199 - 34253 per annum (reduced to 28773.03 - 30608.48 per annum pro rata) to reflect the reduced working nature of this role 38 weeks plus 5 days per year. Standard practice is to appoint at bottom of scale.
Role Overview
As the Safeguarding Officer you will support the Safeguarding Director (Deputy DSL) and the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in responding to all safeguarding concerns and implementing necessary actions.
You will need to be resilient as some disclosures can be distressing and emotions can be high and able to adapt your responses to the appropriate situation. Strong organisational and time management skills are essential as is the need to be approachable and communicate effectively with a wide range of people. For example students staff parents / carers social workers police and CAMHS.
