You will teach Religious Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering lessons covering a range of religious traditions philosophical questions and ethical issues.

At KS3 students will develop their knowledge of different beliefs practices and traditions while learning how to discuss sensitive topics respectfully. At KS4 you will prepare students for GCSE Religious Studies developing their ability to analyse religious and non-religious viewpoints and construct detailed written responses.

The successful teacher will be confident leading discussion while ensuring that lessons remain structured and purposeful. You will use a variety of teaching approaches including case studies debate written analysis and examination practice.

Religious Education Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• Religious Studies Theology Philosophy or related Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• GCSE Religious Studies experience

• Strong subject knowledge

• Confident leading classroom discussions

• Excellent written communication

• Effective classroom management

• Strong planning and assessment skills

The salary for this Religious Education Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS depending on experience and qualifications.
