Role: Teacher of Religious Education (KS3KS5)
Location: Ware Hertfordshire
Contract: Full-Time Permanent

A values-based academy in Ware is looking for a thoughtful and engaging Religious Education Teacher to join its humanities department from January 2027. The successful candidate will encourage students to explore religion philosophy ethics and contemporary issues.
Teach Religious Education: Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 GCSE and post-16 where required.
Develop ethical thinking: Encourage respectful debate around moral philosophical and social questions.
Prepare examination students: Support students with structured revision and exam preparation.
Promote religious literacy: Teach students about diverse beliefs traditions and worldviews.
Support enrichment: Organise discussions guest speakers and ethics-related activities.
Create an inclusive classroom: Encourage curiosity respect and thoughtful discussion.
RE specialist: Has strong subject knowledge in Religious Education philosophy and ethics.
Qualified teacher: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Excellent facilitator: Can manage sensitive discussions with balance and respect.
Strong communicator: Explains complex religious and philosophical concepts clearly.
Inclusive practitioner: Values diversity and encourages every student to participate.
Reflective professional: Uses assessment and feedback to improve student learning.
