Reception Coordinator

The role involves working with staff and volunteers to ensure the reception runs smoothly and welcomes all patients families and visitors in a friendly and compassionate way. The role holder must have strong communication and listening skills and always maintain confidentiality.

Our Reception Coordinators provide the first point of contact at the hospice which calls for discretion diplomacy excellent people skills and the ability to always demonstrate exceptional standards of communication.

The successful candidate will be approachable and friendly able to work with a calm organised approach and have an excellent telephone manner. Ideally you will already have experience of working in a busy reception environment.

The successful candidate will be a key figure in ensuring that all current legislation and The Kirkwoods policies are adhered to at all times.

The Kirkwood provide specialist care free of charge to adults in Kirklees with advanced progressive illnesses at any time from diagnosis to the end of life respecting their individual needs and wishes. Care and support are also provided for their family members friends and carers both during the illness and after death. Through education training and partnership with others we improve care for everyone affected by a life limiting illness.
