Quality Technician

The Quality Technician will report to the Lead Quality Specialist.

The Quality Technician is responsible for coordinating Test Laboratory operations including routine testing and inspection of products assisting and supporting investigations and corrective and preventive actions and to implement and maintain our Calibration systems. Also to be compliant with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 and to provide support for QA activities as required by business needs.

Thursday 07.00 - 16.30

• To coordinate and perform product inspection and testing.
• To support calibration activities and processes in accordance with the objectives of the Organization.
• To be support for manufacturing activities.
• To implement maintain and improve Quality Management Systems and processes in accordance with the objectives of the Organisation.
• Investigates opportunities for improvements and implements improvements in line with the Organisations objectives.
• Participates in Internal Audits and External Audits as required.
• Represent the quality team on projects to ensure compliance with QMS.
• To support the Organisations relationship with customers and regulators from a laboratory viewpoint.
• To represent the Organisations image as being one of high integrity at all times when representing the Organisation both internally and externally and behave in a manner both on and off duty befitting the Organisations image and standards.
• Any other duties which can reasonably be expected of the post holder given their knowledge skills and experience

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent or be able to demonstrate working at this level.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
• Previous working experience of ISO13485 FD QSR QMS or similar QMS

• Able to manage a busy workload.
• Good problem-solving ability and root cause identification skills.
• Able to communicate to all levels withing the organization.
• A good working knowledge of ISO 13485 FDA QSR or similar quality systems preferred.
• Able to focus on identification of potential issues and issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams and on own initiative.
• Demonstrated excellent organizational verbal and written communications skills.
• Must have PC experience as well as working familiarity of desktop applications including Excel Word PowerPoint and ideally Minitab
