Job Summary

Quality Inspector (CMM) Precision Engineering


Salary: 18 21 per hour depending on experience

Location: Luton Bedfordshire

Working pattern: Full-time permanent 40 hours (Monday to Thursday 8am 5pm Friday 8am 2pm)


About the role

Pact Engineering is a long-established family-owned precision engineering company producing high-quality complex components for the motorsport food production and wider manufacturing sectors. As we continue to grow were looking for a skilled Quality Inspector to help maintain the standards our customers rely on.


This suits an experienced inspector or a competent engineer ready to step into a dedicated quality role who wants to develop within a well-run machine shop.


What youll be doing

  • Inspecting precision components and finished products against specification
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings specifications and technical documentation
  • Using precision measurement equipment including micrometers gauges and CMM
  • Identifying and reporting non-conforming components
  • Producing detailed inspection reports and quality documentation
  • Identifying defects supporting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Working with production teams to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of quality procedures and ISO9001 standards


What youll bring

  • Experience in quality inspection within a precision engineering environment
  • Experience programming and operating Aberlink Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
