The role will primarily involve teaching A-Level Psychology. You will introduce students to key psychological approaches research methods and studies while helping them understand how psychological theories can be applied to real-life situations.

Depending on the specification teaching will cover areas such as social influence memory attachment approaches biopsychology research methods and psychopathology.

The successful Psychology Teacher will need to help students develop strong analytical and evaluative skills. You will encourage pupils to consider the strengths and limitations of different theories and research methods and to communicate their conclusions effectively in written examinations.

Psychology Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• Psychology Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching Psychology

• Ability to teach KS5

• A-Level Psychology experience

• Strong knowledge of psychological approaches and research

• Excellent analytical skills

• Strong written communication

• Ability to prepare students for examinations

• Confident classroom management

• Good planning and assessment skills

The salary for this Psychology Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS depending on experience and qualifications.
