Production Supervisor (Night Shift)

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Production/Operations Manager the successful candidate will oversee multiple production teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for leading motivating and developing teams while ensuring production targets quality standards and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.

This role would suit a proactive hands-on individual with strong leadership and communication skills who is passionate about team development operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive production output and efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
• Lead motivate and support production teams to achieve operational targets.
• Monitor performance and conduct providing coaching feedback and performance reviews where required.
• Work closely with Production Management Scheduling Logistics Engineering and Stores teams to ensure production deadlines are achieved.
• Support Team Leads with technical guidance and problem-solving.
• Conduct return-to-work interviews disciplinary meetings and employee reviews in line with company procedures.
• Identify training and development needs alongside the in-house Technical Trainer.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards across production areas.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and minimise overtime where possible.
• Assist with the setup and optimisation of high-volume production lines for existing and new products.

Essential Skills Qualifications/Experience:

• A minimum of 4 years experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience leading teams to achieve production and performance targets.
• Experience setting up and managing high-volume production lines.
• Strong communication leadership and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).

Desirable Skills Qualifications/Experience:

• IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition qualification.
