About the School:

A welcoming school in Salisbury is looking for a reliable Premises Assistant to support its site and maintenance team.

The successful candidate will assist with general maintenance site security grounds work deliveries and the day-to-day upkeep of the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with routine inspections of the school premises.

  • Complete basic maintenance and DIY tasks.

  • Support the preparation and movement of furniture and equipment.

  • Assist with grounds maintenance and litter picking.

  • Help maintain clean safe and accessible external areas.

  • Support contractors and deliveries when required.

  • Assist with site security and access arrangements.

  • Report hazards defects and maintenance concerns.

  • Support seasonal duties such as gritting and weather-related site preparation.

  • Assist the Premises Manager with general operational tasks.

Requirements:
  • Previous maintenance caretaking facilities grounds or practical experience.

  • Good practical skills and willingness to undertake varied duties.

  • Understanding of workplace health and safety.

  • Reliable and punctual approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Enhanced background checks will be required.
