Our client is a fast-growing manufacturer of pressure vessels heat exchangers and fabricated equipment for sectors including Nuclear Oil & Gas Water Treatment and Heavy Industry. Due to continued expansion theyre looking for a skilled Plater / Fabricator to join their production team in Pencoed and help deliver high-quality engineered products to customers around the world.

The Role

• Cutting grinding and laying out sheet metal plate tube pipe channel and angle
• Performing MIG and MMA tack welding on mild steel stainless steel and aluminium
• Assembling and fabricating high-quality finished products
• Marking out cylinders nozzle locations and weld preparations
• Using plasma and gas cutting equipment safely and effectively
• Preparing pipework flanges and structural components for welding
• Following strict health and safety procedures and PPE requirements

About You

• Previous experience as a Plater Fabricator or Metal Fabricator
• Confident reading fabrication drawings and working accurately to dimensions
• Experience using workshop equipment such as saws drills rotators manipulators and cranes
• Knowledge of pressure vessels pipework or structural steelwork is advantageous
• Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
• Strong understanding of workshop safety standards and safe working practices
• Forklift training is beneficial but not essential
