You will teach a broad PE curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 covering a variety of individual and team sports.

At KS3 you will help students develop fundamental sporting skills tactical understanding fitness and teamwork. At KS4 you will teach GCSE PE where required supporting students with both practical performance and theoretical elements.

The successful candidate should be confident teaching students with different levels of sporting ability. You will create an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to participate and improve.

The role will also include supporting extracurricular sport fixtures and school competitions. A willingness to contribute beyond timetabled lessons would therefore be welcomed.

Physical Education Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• PE Sports Science or related Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Secondary PE teaching experience

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• GCSE PE experience desirable

• Strong practical sporting knowledge

• Ability to teach a range of sports

• Effective behaviour management

• Strong organisational skills

• Good lesson planning and assessment

• Willingness to support extracurricular sport

The salary for this Physical Education Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS depending on experience and qualifications.
