Personal Development (PD) Facilitator
Are you passionate about delivering engaging learning experiences that help learners develop the skills confidence and resilience needed to succeed in education employment and life This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a dynamic PD curriculum that supports learner success and prepares students for their future ambitions.
As a PD Facilitator you will plan prepare and deliver high-quality learner-centred sessions to groups of learners across the College. Using creative and innovative approaches you will facilitate engaging discussions debates and collaborative activities that develop critical thinking personal growth and employability skills.
You will create an inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and learner voice helping students explore topics such as wellbeing equality and diversity British Values finance digital awareness and progression planning. Through effective facilitation you will support learners to develop the knowledge behaviours and attitudes needed to thrive as confident and responsible global citizens.
Working within the Colleges PD framework you will develop learning resources monitor learner engagement and contribute to the continuous improvement of the PD curriculum. You will work closely with curriculum and Student Services teams to support learners who may face barriers to achievement ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging PD sessions that encourage participation and discussion.
- Create and maintain high-quality learning resources and activities.
- Promote wellbeing citizenship digital awareness and progression planning.
- Monitor learner engagement identify barriers to learning and refer learners to appropriate support services (where required).
- Work collaboratively with facilitators tutors curriculum leaders and wider college teams to support learner success.
- Contribute to PD curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
Essential Criteria
- A relevant vocational or professional qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Experience of working with learners in a teaching tutoring mentoring or coaching capacity with the ability to support both individuals and groups.
- Ability to use ICT effectively within learning environments and facilitate blended learning sessions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering a learner-centred experience and working collaboratively with colleagues.
- Understanding of teaching and learning within group sessions learner support needs safeguarding in further and higher education and the development of learners personal development behaviour and attitudes.
Desirable Criteria
- A relevant teaching and learning qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- An ICT qualification at Level 2 or willingness to work towards one.
- Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and inspection judgements.
Employment Details
- Salary: 27944 - 30468 per annum (Grade 4)
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Hours: 35.5 hours per week
- Working Weeks: 52 weeks per year
- Location: Doncaster
- Reporting Line: Personal Development Team Leader
Core Working Hours: Our core working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Friday. The standard full-time working week is 35.5 hours and flexibility around working patterns may be agreed with your line manager to meet business needs.

Lets Teach Programme
Lets Teach The LETs teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Lets Bloom
The LETs Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team capturing their experimentation in a journal.
