A highly regarded secondary school in Wallingford Oxfordshire is looking to appoint a technically skilled Performing Arts Technician to support its drama and performing arts departments.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting rehearsals lessons productions and performances throughout the academic year.
You will work alongside teaching staff and students to ensure that performance spaces are correctly prepared and that lighting sound and stage equipment are functioning safely and effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up stages and performance areas
Preparing lighting and sound equipment
Supporting rehearsals and productions
Operating technical equipment during performances
Assisting with stage changes
Maintaining technical equipment
Reporting damaged or faulty equipment
Supporting students with technical activities
Ensuring equipment is stored safely
Helping prepare spaces for school events
Experience in theatre live events performing arts stage management or technical production would be advantageous.
The school is looking for someone creative practical and calm under pressure who can work collaboratively with both staff and students.
