About the role
Join our Pastoral Care team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families. You will provide compassionate person-centred emotional spiritual and religious support respecting each persons unique faith beliefs values and cultural traditions.
Working as part of an interdisciplinary team you will support residents through meaningful conversations spiritual practices religious rituals cultural celebrations grief loss palliative care and end-of-life experience. About you
You are a compassionate and inclusive pastoral care professional who is committed to providing high-quality person-centred support that recognises and respects the unique needs beliefs and life experiences of every resident.
Experience & Skills youll bring:
- A qualification in Pastoral Care Clinical Pastoral Education Teaching Social Sciences or a related field.
- Accredited as a Eucharistic Minister or willing to complete the required training
- Experience providing person-centred care in aged care healthcare or a similar setting.
- A warm friendly and caring approach to working with older people.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to provide compassionate pastoral care and support.
- Experience supporting people and families through grief loss palliative care and end-of-life.
- Ability to plan and lead spiritual religious and pastoral services and gatherings.
- Good communication interpersonal organisational and time-management skills.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Alignment with the mission values and ethos of a Catholic for-purpose organisation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
