Part Time Catering Assistant. Priesty Fields Care Home

• Hourly rate: £12.76 per hour
• Contracted hours: 28.5 hours per week
• Shifts: 9am – 7pm
• Working pattern: 3 days per week including every other weekend on a two-week rolling rota

Do you enjoy being part of a busy kitchen team and take pride in helping prepare great food We're looking for a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen operation helping to provide delicious nutritious meals that make a real difference to residents' daily lives.

What You'll Do

• Support the Chef and wider catering team with food preparation and meal service.
• Assist with basic cooking duties under the guidance of the Chef.
• Prepare dining areas and ensure meals are presented to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
• Assist with stock deliveries storage and stock rotation procedures.
• Carry out washing up and general kitchen housekeeping duties.
• Follow all food safety infection control and health & safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient catering service.

About You

• Previous experience within catering hospitality or a kitchen environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced team-focused environment.
• Organised dependable and willing to take initiative.
• Understands the importance of food hygiene and maintaining high standards.
• Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude.
• Committed to delivering a quality service for residents and colleagues alike.
