Overview
Drive the offshore execution of the energy transition.
We are looking for a T&I Lead to take ownership of the transport and installation strategy and execution for major offshore wind projects covering both structural assets (foundations substations) and subsea cable systems (inter-array and export). This is a critical leadership role bridging engineering fabrication marine operations and offshore execution to ensure safe efficient and cost-effective installation across complex project interfaces.
Your role
T&I Strategy & Planning
- Develop and lead the Transport & Installation (T&I) strategy for offshore wind projects.
- Define installation methodologies for:
- WTG foundations (monopiles jackets transition pieces).
- Offshore substations (topside & jacket transport and lift).
- Subsea cables (inter-array & export systems).
- Manage installation schedules sequences and marine logistics.
Engineering & Technical Oversight
- Oversee T&I engineering deliverables including:
- Lift studies and rigging design.
- Sea fastening and grillage design.
- Floatover / heavy lift installation methodologies.
- Cable lay analysis route engineering pull-in and protection systems (CPS).
- Ensure alignment with structural design geotechnical and cable engineering teams.
- Review and approve contractor T&I engineering documentation.
Marine Operations & Execution
- Lead planning and readiness for offshore campaigns including:
- Vessel selection and suitability assessments (WIVs heavy lift vessels CLVs).
- Port logistics marshalling and load-out operations.
- Offshore installation procedures and contingency planning.
- Provide technical support during offshore operations including campaign monitoring and issue resolution.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary interface for T&I contractors marine warranty surveyors (MWS) and installation partners.
- Support procurement activities including:
- Preparation of T&I scopes of work
- Technical evaluations of bids
- Contract clarification and negotiations
- Engage with certification bodies and regulators to ensure compliance
Risk Safety & Assurance
- Lead HSE-by-design approach for all T&I activities.
- Conduct risk assessments method statement reviews and constructability studies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (DNV-ST-N001 ISO client requirements)
- Oversee development of ALARP installation solutions.
About you
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as T&I Engineer / T&I Lead / Installation Manager in offshore wind or offshore oil & gas.
- Strong background in installation of:
- Offshore structures (monopiles jackets substations) and/or Subsea cables (export and inter-array systems).
- Experience across project lifecycle phases (FEED detailed design execution).
- Track record of supporting or leading offshore campaigns.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of:
- Heavy lift and marine installation methods
- Cable installation techniques (lay burial pull-in termination).
- Metocean constraints weather windows and operability analysis.
- Familiarity with installation engineering tools and methods.
- Understanding of marine spread capabilities and vessel limitations.
Leadership & Professional Skills
- Strong coordination and leadership skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and client-facing capability.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and interfaces simultaneously.
- Proactive solution-oriented with strong risk awareness and decision-making ability.
