Office Manager

A successful Secondary School in Northampton is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to lead its administrative team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a busy school environment and enjoys leading a team while ensuring the smooth operation of the schools administrative functions. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the school office and provide essential support to the Senior Leadership Team staff students and parents.

Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager you will manage the administration team oversee reception services coordinate admissions maintain pupil records and ensure that school communications are handled professionally and efficiently. You will organise meetings manage diaries prepare reports maintain confidential records and support HR and finance administration where appropriate.

The role also includes reviewing administrative systems implementing improvements where necessary and ensuring compliance with safeguarding GDPR and school policies. You will coordinate school events educational visits and wider administrative projects while maintaining excellent customer service for all stakeholders.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding organisational skills strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills. You will enjoy working collaboratively while confidently managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Previous Office Manager or Senior Administrator experience

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • High level of IT proficiency

  • Previous school administration experience desirable

  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively

  • Professional approachable and proactive manner
