Job Summary
As a Model Based Systems Engineer you will join our Birmingham team to support our activities within the aerospace engineering sector
You will support the development of complex aerospace systems working across requirements management and model-based systems engineering (MBSE). This role involves applying existing product knowledge to new programmes ensuring robust system design aligned with industry standards such as DO-254
- Location: Birmingham
- On Site: Hybrid (3 days per week)
- Clearance: Clearable
- Experience Level: Mid to Senior (5 years experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Apply MBSE methodologies using tools such as CAMEO
- Support system modelling activities and ensure alignment with design requirements
- Leverage existing product knowledge to support integration into new programmes
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in systems design and requirements management
- Proven experience with MBSE and modelling tools (CAMEO preferred)
- Ability to work across complex engineering environments
- Experience applying structured engineering processes and standards
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
- Experience working within aerospace or regulated engineering sectors
- Understanding of DO-254 or similar aerospace standards
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with motor drives or electrical systems
- Knowledge of integrating existing products into new system architectures
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
