Mechanical Engineer

Were seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer (or known as Fitter)with proven experience in mechanical installation maintenance and refurbishment within the water or heavy industrial sector.

You will install maintain repair and refurbish mechanical plant and equipment ensuring all work meets WIMES standards client specifications and health and safety regulations.

Flexibility is required to travel to various project sites and a willingness to undertake overnight stays when required.

What Were Looking For

• Health safety and environmental best practice.
• Problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competence with hand tools power tools and pipework equipment.
• Mechanical installation maintenance and refurbishment in water/heavy industry.
• Pipework installation across ductile iron stainless steel carbon steel UPVC ABS.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
