What Is The Opportunity
Aecon is seeking an M&E Coordinatorto join the Urban Transportations Solutions group to support dynamic transit projects in Canada. We are proud to support projects that are committed to faster and more convenient travel ultimately improving transportation experiences. This starts with bringing aboard the best possible team!
What Youll Do Here:
Coordinate and supportmechanical and electrical scopes of workacross rail infrastructure stations facilities and systems interfaces.
Assistwith planning sequencing and execution of M&E activities in alignment with theproject schedule and construction phasing.
Review M&E drawings specifications shop drawings and RFIs toidentifyconflicts constructability issues and interface risks.
Work closely with Project Managers Superintendents Engineers andSubcontractors to resolve technical and coordination issues.
Track and report progress of M&E installations inspections and deficiencies.
Coordinate M&E inspections and ensure workcomplies withBritish ColumbiaBuilding Code CSA standards ESA requirements and project specifications.
Supporttesting commissioning and system turnoveractivities including documentation and closeout requirements.
Participate in coordination meetings with civil architectural track and systems teams to ensure interface alignment.
Maintainaccuraterecords including drawings logs quantities and installation status.
Promote a strongsafety culture ensuring all work is performedin accordance withproject safety standards and provincial regulations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to problemsolving in a collaborative team environment.
Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity welcome different perspectives and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
What You Bring to The Team:
Postsecondary education in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Construction Engineering orrelatedtechnical discipline.
3 years of experience in an M&E coordination or construction role preferably on rail transit or large infrastructure projects.
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in rail projects such as:
Power distribution and lighting
Communications accesscontrolandfirelife safety systems
HVAC and station ventilation
Fire protection systems
Lowvoltage systems (asset dependent)
Strong understanding of construction drawings specifications and technical documentation.
Familiarity withBritish Columbiacodes and standards including ESA requirements.
Experience coordinating subcontractors and working in a multitrade environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in MSOffice;experience withconstruction management systems is an asset.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teambased environment.

Pay Range: $75000- $85000
Individual pay isdeterminedbased on several factors including work location education experience uniqueskillsand job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications specialized training and the complexity or scope of the role.
