A progressive and energetic secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Maths Teacher to join their strong Mathematics Department ASAP. The department is committed to making mathematics accessible engaging and rigorous across all Key Stages. You will deliver high-quality mathematics instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A Level Maths and Further Maths) depending on experience. Applications are welcomed from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver dynamic structured Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4 fostering problem-solving skills and numerical confidence.
Prepare pupils effectively for national GCSE examinations supporting learners across all ability tiers.
Utilize diagnostic assessment to identify learning gaps and implement targeted interventions.
Contribute to departmental enrichment activities including math challenges STEM initiatives and revision clinics.
Key Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mathematics Statistics Engineering or a closely related quantitative discipline.
Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.
Proven track record or practical ability to teach secondary Mathematics effectively across key stages.
Excellent classroom management and ability to engage pupils of all learning abilities.
Legal right to work in the UK.
