Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice that supports business objectives while managing legal and compliance risks.
• Partner with commercial medical and market access teams on key business initiatives and decision-making.
• Draft review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational agreements.
• Advise on pharmaceutical regulations healthcare professional interactions transparency and competition law.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks providing pragmatic solutions to support sustainable business growth.
• Support governance processes investigations disputes and engagement with external legal counsel.
• Develop and deliver legal training to strengthen compliance awareness across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement through simplified legal processes and responsible use of legal technology.

Essential Requirements

• Law degree and qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales.
• Demonstrated post-qualification legal experience.
• Strong experience drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to provide pragmatic business-focused legal guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 55.160 - 102.440 GBP

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives such as relevant skills competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
