Learning & Development Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Learning & Development Assistant to support the delivery of our firmwide learning development and early careers programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in Learning & Development and HR.
You will play a key role in co-ordinating training activities supporting apprenticeships and trainee programmes maintaining learning records and helping to ensure our colleagues have access to high-quality development opportunities.
Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager you will help deliver programmes that support professional competence career development and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate training courses workshops and development programmes
- Manage training bookings joining instructions attendance records and evaluations
- Support the administration of the firms online learning platform and learning records
- Assist with the delivery of trainee solicitor apprenticeship and work experience programmes
- Monitor completion of mandatory and compliance-based training
- Produce regular reports on learning activity attendance and training compliance
- Maintain accurate records of CPD and professional development activities
- Liaise with external training providers educational institutions and professional bodies
- Support internal training events leadership programmes and development initiatives
- Assist with careers fairs school college and university engagement activities
- Prepare training materials presentations and communications
- Respond to learning and development enquiries from colleagues across the firm
- Support the continuous improvement of learning and development processes and resources
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicating with people at all levels
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proactive and keen to learn
- Comfortable working with systems data and reporting
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
Essential Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Desirable Requirements
- Previous administration experience within HR training education or professional services
- Experience of learning management systems (LMS)
- Experience supporting training events or apprenticeship programmes
