St Georges Lodge is a welcoming 26-bed residential care home in Worthing part of SDR Group a family-owned care provider where mealtimes play an important role in bringing comfort enjoyment and a true sense of home to our residents.
We are looking for a reliable caring and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our small and friendly kitchen team.
As a 26-bed residential care home we pride ourselves on creating a warm family-style environment where residents are known as individuals and staff are genuinely valued.
Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential full training will be provided.
About the Role
As Kitchen Assistant you will support the smooth running of the kitchen helping to prepare and serve meals that are nutritious well-presented and enjoyable for residents.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness hygiene and food safety while contributing to a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the preparation and serving of meals
Maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
Washing up and general kitchen duties
Ensuring food is stored safely and correctly
Following food safety and infection control procedures
Working closely as part of a small supportive kitchen team
Helping create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience for residents
